JCSU's Enobong Udo fired a two day score of 151 to finish 18th in the 2006 Carolina Sands Intercollegiate men's golf tournament hosted by UNCP at the Carolina Sands Golf Club in White Lake, NC. The Golden Bulls finished 9th overall with a team score of 706.

Pfeiffer recorded a first place team score of 588, ten over par, to earn the team title, while Lenoir-Rhyne's Kent George shot a two-day score of 140, two under par for the tournament, to win the individual competition.

Following the tournament, the top five players were named to the 2006 Carolina Sands All-Tournament Team. Earning all-tourney laurels were Rich Lowe (Catawba), Kent George (Lenoir-Rhyne), Ian Kenwright (Pfeiffer), Mick Moberg (Mt. Olive) and Matt Morrison (UNCP).
