Senior field event thrower Larry Moore repeated as the CIAA Men's Javelin Champion for the second consecutive year. Moore beat out Robert Duval from Bowie State University by two inches to retain the title. The men's track team finished in 7th place at this year's CIAA championship. William Utley and Moore finished in third and fourth places respectively in the discus throwing event. Ty Jordan tied for 5th in the high jump earning his team 3.5 points.
