Johnson C. Smith University is gearing up to host the upcoming 2007 NCAA® Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships to be held from May 24-26, 2007 at the Irwin Belk Complex. Athletes from colleges across the country will compete in this prestigious event.

Thus far, several hundred athletes have automatically and provisionally qualified for this world-class event. Most athletes will be using the next few weeks to increase their marks or times in hopes of making the cut for the championships. Official athlete declarations begin on May 9, 2007 and a final listing of all athletes participating will be released on May 14, 2007.

In addition to the actual track meet, the Corporate Champions and Partners of the NCAA® will be sponsoring a "Carolina Gold Fest" that will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2007 from 9:00 p.m. - 12:00 am with inflatable rides and music on JCSU's campus.

Volunteers are still needed for this event. Attached is a volunteer sign-up form for specific track and field events.
