Freshman point guard Ronald Thornhill has been named to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball All-Rookie Team as selected by the CIAA-Sports Information Director's Association. Thornhill, a 5-10 native of Alberta, Va. has six double-digit scoring games in his young career including a 16-point performance vs. Georgia College and State University. He has played in all 25 games and started 19, including the last 18 games.

He is currently ranked second in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (41%) and 12th in assists per game, dishing out just under three per game. Thornhill will look to lead his team to an important victory tonight when the Golden Bulls host Fayetteville State University.

Thornhill, along with other men's basketball rookies, will be honored on Tuesday, February 26 at the CIAA Men's Basketball Tip-Off Banquet. The banquet will be held at the Westin in downtown Charlotte and begins at 6:30 p.m.
