Johnson C. Smith Men in Ranked in Latest Basketball Regional Poll



Head coach Steve Joyner, Sr. has guided his team to a 10th place ranking in the NCAA Men's Basketball Division II Regional Poll

The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee has released this week's Division II regional rankings. The Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls have entered the regional polls at the #10 spot along with three other Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) schools. Virginia Union comes in at the number four spot, Elizabeth City State at five, and Bowie State at number seven.

On a four-game winning streak, the Golden Bulls will look to extend that mark when they face off against the Falcons of Saint Augustine's College tonight, February 28, 2008 at 7 p.m. at Bobcats Arena.

The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee releases the top 10 teams in each of the eight regions every Wednesday through March 5, 2008. Johnson C. Smith is a member of the South Atlantic Region.
