Johnson C. Smith Cancels Men's Basketball Game vs. Maryland Bible College

Contest Would Have Pushed JCSU Over NCAA Maximum

Head men's basketball coach and Athletics Director Steve Joyner, Sr. made the announcement

The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball game against Maryland Bible College, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8, in Brayboy Gym has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict. The Golden Bulls currently have 28 games scheduled this season, one over the 27 regular-season limit allowed by the NCAA.

The match-up would have been the second of two games as part of the Wendy's Tip-Off Doubleheader. However, Saint Paul's College will still play Catawba College at 1 p.m. in Brayboy Gym. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased by calling (704) 378-1145.
