The Johnson C. Smith football team, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Daryl C. McNeill, Sr., will hold their final preseason scrimmage on Saturday, August 23, beginning at 10 a.m., inside the Irwin Belk Complex.

The scrimmage is free and the public is encouraged and welcomed to attend. The team will go through what is expected to be a full hour and a half workout. As this is the final scrimmage of the preseason, it is expected that this game be a full-scale dress rehearsal for the season opener.

"We are looking forward to the last scrimmage," remarked McNeill. "We are ready to put this last scrimmage (before the season) behind us. The guys have worked hard all camp long. The goal of tomorrow's scrimmage is to work on more game time situations."

The Golden Bulls open the season on Saturday, August 30 at North Carolina A&T. Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m.
