Johnson C. Smith received the opening kickoff of the second half and returned it into the end-zone for its second touchdown extending the lead to 16-0. De'Audra Dix (Merritt Island, FL) returned the kick for 90 yards; his second of the season.

JCSU records its first shutout of the season and the first shutout since 1998 when they held Elizabeth City State University scoreless [26-0].
