JCSU's Franklin Named CIAA Offensive Rookie of the Year

Wide Receiver Led Conference in Several Categories

Franklin Garnered Three Receiver of the Week Honors and One Rookie of the Week to Earn CIAA Offensive Rookie of the Year

Freshman wide receiver Jeremy Franklin (Casselberry, Fla.) has been named CIAA Offensive Rookie of the Year as selected by the CIAA Sports Information Directors' Association. Franklin tops the CIAA in receptions (39) and reception yards with an average of 18.9 yards per catch. Through Saturday's game, he has more receiving yards (737) than any other CIAA player and is averaging 73.7 yards per game.

A three-time CIAA Receiver of the Week and one-time CIAA Rookie of the Week, Franklin has caught 6 touchdowns this year for JCSU with his longest going for 99 yards on September 22nd versus Saint Augustine's.

Franklin, along with members of the All-CIAA football team will be honored on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the CIAA Championship Banquet at the Hilton Charlotte Center City.
