Senior linebacker Omar Bizzell (Raleigh, NC) has been named CIAA Defensive Lineman of the Week as released by the conference office on Sunday. Bizzell had a record-breaking performance as he registered a game and career high 18 tackles, 4.5 for a loss of 21 yards and 3.0 sacks for a loss of 18 yards. His total tackles, and tackles for loss sets a new Irwin Belk Complex record previously held by Justin Jackson (16 tackles) and Chris Nelson (3.0 TFL).

Bizzell is currently fourth in the conference in total tackles with 76 on the season and has 243 in his career. He will look to help his team extend their winning streak when they take on Savannah State University on Saturday, October 28, 2006. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm at American Legion Memorial Stadium for JCSU's Homecoming.
