Senior kick-returner De'Audra Dix, (Merritt Island, Fla.) was recently named CIAA Special Teams Player of the Year. The speedster led the conference in kick-off returns aiding his team to a sixth place ranking in all of NCAA Division II in kick returns. Dix was ranked fifth in the nation in kick-off returns averaging 31.3 yards per return.

He ends his career with 64 returns for 1,708 yards and three touchdowns. As a corner back, the senior registered 130 total tackles, six tackles for a loss of 19 yards, 13 interceptions for returned for 252 yards, seven blocked kicks, and 33 pass break-ups spanning four years.

Dix was honored last night (November 8) at the annual CIAA Championship Football Banquet held at the Hilton Charlotte Center City.
