The Johnson C. Smith University men's tennis team are tabbed eighth in the deep Atlantic Region as released by the International Tennis Association (ITA). This poll marks the first time that the Golden Bulls have been regionally ranked. JCSU is one of three Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) member institutions to appear in the first regional rankings. Defending CIAA champion Shaw University (6th) and Virginia State University (9th) are the other institutions in the top ten rankings.

The dynamic doubles pair of Jason Stuckey (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Aaron Hutcherson (Cincinnati, Ohio) also cracked the regional polls at number nine.

The team returns to action on Wednesday, February 4, when they begin their grueling spring schedule against Augusta State University. The match will take place at 2 p.m. at the Coleman-Cuthbertson Tennis Courts on campus.
