Vanessa Taylor Named CIAA Women's Basketball Coach of the Week

Seventh Year head coach Vanessa Taylor led her team to an impressive road win against ECSU

Vanessa Taylor, in her seventh year at the helm of the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball program has been named CIAA Women's Basketball Coach of the Week.

This is Taylor's second Coach of the Week honors during the young 2007-08 season. She guided her team to a 52-47 upset over Elizabeth City State University, her first win over the Vikings at the R.L. Vaughan Center since she left ECSU in 2001.

The Lady Golden Bulls will return to action this Sunday, December 9, as they travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to take on Winthrop University. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
