The Johnson C. Smith University women's tennis team placed fifth at the annual CIAA Championship on the campus of Virginia State University. The Bulls tallied 40 total points.

Jennifer Lee, who was named All-CIAA for the second time in her career, finished third at the number one flight. She lost to Shaw's Livia Oliveira 6-3, 6-2. Jae Hargett, Brittany Laws, and Tyra Breaux placed fourth at the number two, three, and six flights. Melissa Schuler finished in fifth place at number four while Czarina Moore finished seventh at number five.
